How to Set Up Yahoo Mail with SMTP and IMAP
Follow these simple steps to configure your Yahoo Mail:
Step 1
Enter your name, Yahoo email address and your passward.
Note: You may need to generate an App Password from Yahoo Account Security page.
App passwords remain active - even if you change your main account password. To invalidate an app password you must delete it.
Step 2
Select your time zone.
Step 3
Ensure the SMTP and IMAP settings are configured correctly:
- SMTP (Outgoing):
- Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 465 or 587
- IMAP (Incoming):
- Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 993

1. Verify Your App Password
- Changing your primary Yahoo Account password invalidates existing app passwords.
- Generate a new app password in your Yahoo Account settings.
- Immediately update this new password in your Mailgo account settings.
- Go back to Mailgo and reconncet this email account.
